Early Help

What is Early Help?

“Being a parent is one of the most challenging, rewarding and important roles anyone can have.

All parents/carers and children should be supported from the earliest years in learning and developing life skills so they can grow up healthy, happy and achieving their goals.

If one person in a family has a difficulty, the chances are it will affect other people in the family too. The person with the problem could be a child, young person or adult.

Sometimes you may need help or extra support to sort out a problem or challenge. Our Early Help Family Workers put your family at the heart of all that we do.

If the whole of your family’s views are known, it is more likely that things will improve for everyone. However, our service is voluntary and we will only work with family members who want our help.”

Who are the Early Help Family Workers?

We work in your area, ready to support any family, with a 0-19 year old, who needs some Early Help support. It doesn’t have to be the 0-19 year old who directly needs the support – it could be you or someone else in the family.

We can help with many different aspects of family life. These are just some of the things we can help with:-

  • Parenting
  • Housing
  • Finances
  • Education
  • Employment
  • You & your family’s health issues
  • Relationships

If you or someone you know has a 0-19 year old in the family and needs some Early Help, contact Claire Forster, Senior Practitioner.
