Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

Little Stars Playgroup/pre-school runs in our Alnwick Children Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am – 3pm and Friday from 9 – 12 noon. Our experienced and fully trained nursery practitioners aim to provide your child with a stimulating, caring and safe environment in which they can learn and develop through play and exploration. We offer high standards of childcare and promote school readiness for children 2 years and over.

3 hour sessions cost £12 and run from 9am -12 noon and 12 noon to 3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 9am to 12 noon on Fridays. We also provide places for 2 year old who are eligible for the 15 hours per week of free childcare.

‘The children are happy and enjoy their time at the playgroup. Staff observe and assess children’s learning and the management team effectively track and monitor children’s development. As a result, children are making good progress in relation to their starting points.Children establish a close bond and secure attachment with their key person. As a result, they feel safe and secure and their confidence and emotional well-being is promoted. Partnerships with parents are good. The settling-in procedures meet the needs of the children attending and the sharing of information successfully involves parents in their children’s learning’
